#V16 recovery...
After a relentless summer we are finally donning the coats, boiling the kettle and stoking the wood fired oven. Vintage 2016 was fast and furious but what we have now tucked away safe and sound in oak is (just quietly) exciting!

Our Heathcote Shiraz kicked us off on the 10th of Feb - a week earlier than previous years – and it was all wrapped up with our last pick of Sangiovese on the 22nd of March in the King Valley. There was no rest for us post harvest (well not yet anyway!!) as the yeasts in the last of our ferments were busy slowly chewing up the remaining grams of sugar and converting them to alcohol we were busy getting our 2016 Pinot Gris out of barrel and ready for bottle. The grapes developed the best colour we’ve seen and the resulting rose gold hue in the wine looks stunning in the glass.
More on the 2016 vintage to come…
